Our volunteers work tirelessly to clean items as they are returned to the Toy Library; however it is a condition of membership that you return your borrowed items in a clean and hygienic condition.
The best way to clean toys is to soak them in warm soapy water, rinse well and then dry off with a tea towel. Baby wipes also clean quite well. If it needs scrubbing, try using a toothbrush.
If your child has been unwell, please wash and then disinfect the toy.
Please remember that bath toys need cleaning too - sometimes more than others.
To help keep our outdoors toys amazing - please do not leave them in the harsh sun or heavy rain conditions as they tend to fade and rust which spoils the borrowing experience for others.
